Saida has become one of the primary areas for displaced families to seek safety and shelter. As of the
3rd of March:
- Total number of IDPs currently in Saida: 9,026
- Total number of collective shelters in Saida: 24
DPNA is currently managing one collective shelter hosting 500 displaced individuals and, in full
coordination with municipalities, local authorities, civil society actors, and humanitarian partners, has
activated its emergency response to provide:
Shelter Support
- Safe accommodation within our managed collective shelter
- Mattresses, blankets, pillows and essential non-food items
- Winterization support, including but not limited to heaters, weatherproofing kits, and solid fuel support
- Shelter kits to ensure any small minor rehabilitation can be done
Food Assistance
- Food kits
- DPNA's Community kitchen supplies and raw material (at least one hot meal per day during Ramadan)
Hygiene and Dignity
- Hygiene kits including menstrual hygiene kits for women
- Baby necessities
Health and Protection
- First aid and medical referrals
- Psychosocial support for children and families
- Social cohesion activities within collective shelters between the displaced and local host communities when applicable
- Protection referrals as needed and in coordination with case management organizations
Water and Sanitation
- Clean water provision for the collective shelters
- Provision of drinking water for shelters
Our response prioritizes dignity, safety, and community solidarity.
What We Urgently Need
Needs are growing daily. We urgently require support for:
- Shelter supplies (mattresses, blankets, pillows)
- Food and kitchen supplies
- Hygiene kits
- Medical supplies
- Clean water and sanitation materials
- Fuel for generators
- Psychosocial support for families, especially children
- Financial contributions to sustain emergency operations
Every contribution directly supports families who have searched for shelter after being displaced, in some
cases more than once.
Stand With Lebanon
DPNA remains committed to transparency, coordination, and community-based response.
We stand in solidarity with all humanitarian actors in Saida and across Lebanon to ensure that no
displaced family is left without support.
Together, we can protect dignity and save lives.
